Hurghada was founded in the early 20th century, and until a few
years ago, remained a small fishing village. During the last twenty years,
Hurghada, the utmost host of the amazing coral reefs and exquisite marine life
has proved to the world that it is far from being just a simple fishing
village. Facing the clear turquoise water of the Red Sea and surrounded by the
never ending desert, the city is just a Mecca for tourists from all over the
world.
Diving in
Hurghada
Hurghada was one of the first
areas opened for diving and has since become a diver's sub-marine wonderland.
The extensive marine life offers everything from tiny gobies to huge whale
sharks.
The mainland Egyptian coast of the
Red Sea is a burgeoning center for water sports, especially snorkeling and
scuba diving. It's a small wonder that the clear waters and offshore reefs here
are justly famous. Hurghada is the main center; all our hotels here have
private beaches and many of the Red Sea's islands can be reached by boat.
