With a vision and a belief that Egypt would become a major player in year round beach tourism due to its proximity to Europe, excellent weather, beautiful beaches, coral reefs, and nearby historical sights, we saw the need to develop our own resorts and to operate them ourselves. This being our conviction, Egyptotel was formed as a joint venture with TUI, to operate under Iberotel, a well reputed German name in the Hotel Industry. Our success story begins with the first hotel in Egypt opened in 1996 - the Iberotel Arabella, a four-star 296 bedroom hotel in Hurghada, on Egypt's beautiful Red Sea. Since then, Egyptotel, which operates Iberotel, a subsidiary of World of TUI has acquired more than 10 distinctive resorts and all-inclusive clubs in Egypt: Hurghada, Makadi, Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Marsa Alam, and a Nile Cruise Ship operating between Luxor and Aswan, and has firmly established itself as a major presence in the Egyptian market. THE FUTURE Several new clubs are due to open in different destinations in Egypt including our first venture into the Mediterranean coast area, with the opening of the first all - inclusive resort in the Marsa Matrouh region, where Cleopatra is said to have bathed followed by our new project in Sharm el Sheikh – Nabq Bay – Iberotel Mirabel Beach Resort. Our projects are not only located in Egypt, we are expanding in the Middle East. The first Iberotel in the United Arab Emirates is “Iberotel Royal Miramar Fujairah”, a hotel with an ideal location for a relaxing holiday!
